What is Supervision?

Supervision creates a space for Counselors and Psychotherapists to discuss their work regularly with someone who is experienced in Counseling, Psychotherapy and Supervision.

The task is to work together to ensure and to develop the efficacy of the Counselor/Psychotherapist/Client relationship. Supervision is a process to maintain adequate standards of Counseling and Psychotherapy, and a method of consultancy to widen the horizons of the practitioner.

Norah Finn from Alethea is a practicing IACP Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor. Clinical Supervision is the backbone of good clinical practice. Finding a space where we can be held and supported in our therapeutic work is vital to us in delivering quality work within our therapy rooms. Supervision creates a learning environment that supports this reflective practice. Finding the right supervisor for you is vital to your therapeutic practice.
